Astoria Anniversary Trip

Just wanted to share a few pics from a cute anniversary trip Janani and I went on this January. I know January was like 8 months ago but sometimes I’m a little slow to finish a roll of film, so here we are.

We always love to eat at Broder when in Astoria. We've actually been back to Astoria once this summer, and it turns out between January and now this Broder location was bought out. The new place is kind of the same except they have AI graphics on their menu, the decor isn't quite as cute and the food isn't all that good. Guess we'll have to find a good new breakfast spot next time around.

As far as I know the Godzilla speakeasy is still around though. Pretty hard to beat the cool factor of this one, food and drinks are cheap and good, and the bartenders are always fun to chat with.

Sleeper Coffee definitely has some of the best views of any coffee shop I've ever been to. Gotta love hanging out and watching cargo ships slowly pass by.

We picked up some starter Pokemon decks at Bonsai Hollow, a local Astoria game shop. This is us learning how to play the game at Sleeper. Since then it's become a pretty all consuming hobby. We've started playing pretty regularly at a couple card shops in Portland. Turns out there's a really fun supportive community around Pokemon here.
